Canopy is a fast-growing start-up software company based in the Washington D.C. area. Our application is the first of its kind, dedicated to the discovery and classification of sensitive information for data breach and privacy. We are looking for innovative, intelligent people who are committed to changing the privacy world through technology and innovation.

Canopy is seeking Sr. Product Manager to help us broaden our mission of changing the privacy world through technology and innovation. The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for defining Product Strategy and Roadmap and turning it into actionable tasks. The Associate Product Manager will help define and prioritize what is needed in our products and work with the rest of the product team to build the product backlog. They also validate that product requirements have been met after each release iteration.

We are looking for people who has deep experience:

  • Developing a product’s vision, and roadmap
  • Communicating the roadmap and the vision to the engineering team and stakeholders
  • Ensuring a healthy backlog by regularly grooming intent with the team
  • Prioritizing the product backlog to maximize business and customer outcomes
  • Defining acceptance criteria for work and signing off on user stories
  • Playing a key role in Agile ceremonies
  • Supporting the team with escalation and resolution of impediments
  • Leveraging design thinking and other human-centered methodologies to better understand customer pain points
  • Collaborating across teams, roles, levels and locations

Background:

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • 5+ years as a Product Manager
  • Ability to work autonomously with little help or direction
  • Exceptional communicator, able to articulate complex issues to a wide range of audiences
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proactive problem solver who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum processes is a plus
